He has photographed many champions: Jacques Mayol, Angela Bandini, Umberto Pelizzari, Gianluca Genoni, Tania Streeter, Audrey Mestre and Francisco Ferreras ‘Pipin’ (whom he discovered and launched in to the world of records), Josè Amengual, Antonio Toschi, Massimo Scarpati and many others. In 1972, he created and launched the ecological clean-up operation ‘Fondali Puliti’.įor years, Gianni has created underwater reportages all over the world and in particular has followed many diving world records, freediving records and championships in photography and spearfishing.
